The groundbreaking directive is supposed to prevent the pay gap between men and women

The European Union is making increasing efforts towards the application of the principle of equal pay for men and women. The result of this initiative is also the adoption of a directive, which is primarily focused on the transparency of remuneration in labor relations.

The problem of different financial evaluation of men and women is still present even today. And this despite the numerous efforts of European as well as national legislators to eliminate it.
